My grandfather was in the Seabees (Navy) during World War II. He was a motor grader operator who built the runway for the military to land planes on the island of Iwo Jima. He went on to work in the commercial market to build highways throughout Texas. He passed his knowledge and expertise on to my father and myself, and now I have become the President of Heinen Construction.
